HOW DO MICRODOTS
WORK
Each set of microdots is
manufactured exclusively for the National Antiques
Register and each set has its own unique registration
number.
They are virtually undetectable to the naked eye but can
be detected by UV rays. The microdots are suspended in a
fluorescing water based adhesive and are very easy to
apply.
The National Antiques
Register has made available, Microdot detectors and
readers to every police force in the United Kingdom.
CAN MICRODOTS BE
REMOVED
No!
a single dot can be
removed but there will be at least 20 dots on each item
suspended in an undetectable liquid, It is impossible to
remove them all and remove the suspension.
ARE MY DETAILS KEPT
PRIVATE
The National Antiques
Register does not divulge details of clients. We do not
use the database for any kind of marketing or
statistics.
Details held on the register are 100% private and
confidential.
WILL ANYONE KNOW THE
VALUE OF MY ANTIQUES
Absolutely not. There is
nothing in the registration process to determine the
value of your property. Its value is your business and
is irrelevant to registration.
IS THERE AN ANNUAL
FEE OR MORE TO PAY LATER
No. The registration fee
is a once only payment to cover the costs of marketing,
and maintaining the database. There are no hidden
charges.
DO I PAY TO GET BACK
MY STOLEN PROPERTY
No. If the UK
police find your property, we put you in contact with
the relevant authority. This is a free service.
DO YOU CLAIM ANY
INSURANCE/ REWARDS
We do not. The return of
your property, when found, is a free service, there are
no extra costs whatsoever.
CAN THE REGISTER BE
HACKED
Most definitely not.
There is no internet connection to the database and no
third party access.
The database is in two parts on two systems so your name
and address is separated from your unique microdot
codes.

call. |
